Each year, thousands of dogs are taken to Arizona dog adoption nonprofits, shelters and other organizations. These organizations typically have limited financial resources, so although they are accomplishing their missions of helping dogs in Arizona, they don't always have the extra finances to promote and market their organizations effectively.

That's where The Other Dogs comes in. The Other Dogs is a website that allows Arizona dog shelters and nonprofits to receive more exposure online by giving them a platform to spread their messages and share events and other goings-on.

Arizona dog rescue organizations typically don't have the resources to create a well-designed, well-marketed website. Those that do have superb websites have the resources to reach more audiences, and this is all well and dandy, but for those smaller organizations that are trying to accomplish their goals of helping local animals, it can be difficult to get the word out.

The Other Dogs gives these organizations help by offering a one-stop, highly optimized website that allows nonprofits to list events, post guest blogs and even offer advertising and marketing services. The website ranks well in search engines and therefore, gives organizations that aren't doing well in the search engines a chance to be seen by people searching for Arizona dog adoption resources.

The Other Dogs is currently in its beta version and expects to officially launch sometime in 2011. Though the website is in its beginning stages, it already receives hundreds of visitors each month that are interested in helping out dogs and other animals in Arizona.

Reception to the website has been wonderful. Already, The Other Dogs has been featured on the news with a short story done by Fox 10 Phoenix, accompanied by a story on their website. Sometime later, The Other Dogs was featured in Arizona Foothills Magazine.

As we get closer to the official launch of The Other Dogs, the website will continue to help local dog organizations achieve their goals of improving the lives of dogs across the state. If you are interested in learning more about dog adoption or helping out The Other Dogs, visit TheOtherDogs.com and see what they are up to. As The Other Dogs says, "if we can improve the life of just one dog, our effort has already paid off." They aren't stopping at just one dog, however – they are looking to improve the overall health of Arizona's homeless dog population.
